Greetings!
The Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) & Eco Niwas Samhita (ENS) is an initiative by Government of India (GoI) to address energy efficiency in the commercial & residential building sector respectively. The Code is already mandatory and the enforced in 15+ states and UTs of India, where all commercial & residential buildings have to comply with the code. In Tamilnadu too, the codes are in the process of amendment as TN-ECBC & TN-ENS, with implementation and the enforcement in the near future.
We at Department of Architecture, in collaboration with Government of Tamilnadu & TANGEDCO, are organising a Two day workshop on the Design approach & its applicability for both TNECBC & TNENS, with sessions on the scope & structure of the codes as well as the applicability in terms of code compliance and its approaches.
